EVEN a late November trip to the Feversham Arms Hotel and Verbena
Spa can still warm up you up a treat on a cold winter’s day.

This may have not have been a sunny Spring or Summer trip, but it
was made as bright an illuminating by one of the best spa and hotel
experiences you’ll find in the north.

The difference is that the Feversham go out of their way to
make your experience exceptional. Every aspect of your stay is made
your to feel personal, helped by being in the relaxing backdrop of the
North Yorkshire Moors.

Staff were particularly helpful and very welcoming from start to
finish. After a tour of the hotel and spa Catherine, one of several
managers at the facility also provided useful information about the
village and surrounding areas. This not only made the trip immediately
feel more friendly but really gave a new visitor the inspiration to go
out and explore the local area.

Breakfast in bed after the first night was of course a real treat but was
executed in a fashion that made it memorable.

A full English breakfast made with all local fresh produce cooked
to perfection is one thing but it was all done in a fashion that made it
easy to enjoy, and that left no crumbs in the bed! The little details
being sorted out along the way really did make the difference.

Taking in the elegant boutique outlets in the nearby villages was a
lovely way to relax into the trip as well as a journey a little further
out into the countryside to a 13th century pub The Hare, where
again fresh local produce cooked to order was roasted to perfection.

But the best was left to the restaurant at The Feversham. The
evening meal of fillet steak was cooked expertly.

It’s often the food that can let down even the most impressive of Spa
and restaurants, with so much focus on getting the Spa as relaxing as possible.

But this was different, helped an again by a highly attentive service.
Despite declining dessert, it was very kindly brought up to our room an hour
later when we had settled for a while, a brilliant gesture which we accepted.
Stewed plum with clotted cream and a luxury ginger cake with vanilla sorbet
is just the best way to finish an evening, in the comfort of your own room.

Sunday breakfast was equally as impressive with a large choice or cereal, fruit,
juices and smoothies followed by a very relaxing day watching movies provided
by the reception and a relaxing dip in the heated out door pool. This was an
excellent facility even though the weather was anything but warm. The
evening meal for the second night running was again fautless.

To complete a fantastic stay I received a Elemis Mother-to-be massage which
was simply wonderful. The whole treatment was explained from start to finish
to give me a relaxing and invigorating massage that has yet to be matched from
any spa I’ve visited.

A trip to the Feversham Arms Hotel & Verbena Spa isn’t just a stay for a few
days, it’s an experience to remember and recommend to your friends-and ensure
you return and enjoy again at the earliest opportunity!
